I am an industry professional with over fourteen (14) years of experience in construction, including project management, construction management, project scheduling, and field inspections. I possess a strong background in Road construction (concrete and asphalt), New Building and Renovation construction (residential, multi-family, and commercial projects), and Telecommunication installation. My familiarity with these disciplines, as well as my experience with DOTD, FEMA, State and City procedures makes me a strong asset for any accomplished Construction team needing support in attaining its goals.

Project Experience

 

Assistant Construction Manager, Vanir Construction Management, New Orleans, LA (7/2014 – present)

Provide the overall planning, coordination, and control of client’s capital projects from the predesign phase to the project close out phase.

 

Audubon Louisiana Nature Center Replacement Facility, New Orleans, LA. Construction Manager/ Owner’s Representative for a new $7 million Planetarium and Classroom Pavilions with parking, linked by covered boardwalks through the surrounding wetland forest.

 

International Shipholding Corporation, New Orleans, LA. Assistant Construction Manager/ Owner’s Representative for the restoration and rehabilitation of an existing two story, 17, 907 sq. ft. wood-timber framed and brick-clad masonry building for office and commercial use. Project also includes a new adjacent five-story 67,037 sq. ft. office building with parking deck facility of 73 parking spaces.

 

Woldenberg Riverfront Park Restoration, New Orleans, LA. Assistant Construction Manager/inspector for the repairs and restoration of New Orleans Riverfront Park adjacent to the French Quarter. The projects include the Emergency Warf repairs and a children’s recreational “splash pad”.

 

Recovery School District – Phyllis Wheatly School and Edward Livingston High School, New Orleans, LA. Scheduler for two school projects. Providing critical path reviews, monthly updates, 30 & 60 look aheads, and other reports as requested.

Resident Inspector, Burk-KleinPeter, Inc., New Orleans, LA (4/2011- 7/2014) 

Advise and monitor the construction of concrete /asphalt roadway and ADA crosswalks, including reviewing plans and schedules, and interfacing with regulatory agencies, contractors and local residence.

 

Path 2 Progress, New Orleans, LA. Resident Inspector for a $90 million FEMA funded roadway rehabilitation project. Responsible for inspecting all phases of drainage repairs, ADA cross walk ramps, concrete and asphalt paving.

 

City of Gretna Water Tower Replacement, Gretna, LA. Resident Inspector for a $1.5 million FEMA funded project that included inspecting all phases of the demolition of existing water tower and surrounding buildings, as well as the construction of the new 253 foot water tower.

 

Project Manager, Integrated Logistical Support, Inc., New Orleans, LA (7/2009- 3/2011)

Lead the restoration of FEMA designated damaged thoroughfares, including concrete and asphalt street panels, concrete sidewalks, ADA cross walk ramps, driveways, and curbing.

 

Construction Superintendent, Lennar Homes, Broward County Florida (2/2005 - 7/2008)

Controlled the construction of single and multifamily residential homes creating new communities. Managed daily site progress, inspections, trouble shooting construction means & methods, and early resolution of discrepancies.

 

Isles at Oakland Park, Broward County, FL. Superintendent for a $50 million, 288 unit, multifamily homes project. Controlled the day-to-day progress of constructing multi-home buildings, community building with pool, playground areas, and community streets.

 

Fort Lauderdale Infill Project, Broward County, FL. Construction Manager for a $5 million, 20 single family home project. Responsible for all phases of constructing homes on multiple project sites spread out over several infill lots in a 10 mile radius.

 

Vistazo, West Palm Beach, FL. Construction Manager for an $80 million, 246 unit, multifamily home project. Accountable for the daily progression of construction performed by building trade subcontractors.
